Before i get started, PLEASE vote for wordpress to integrate OpenID. (You will need a wordpress.org user/pass, ironically, if you voted for this, you WONT have to have user/pass for million sites again!!)

Now, I feel dumb when i see something like OpenID out there and i hav’nt heard of it!. Waw, where to start!?!?!?!?

Well, think of it!. Back in highschool math, we learned to simplify expressions like:

y = 12x + 48x^2 + 12x^4

Into this form:

y = 12x ( 1 + 4x + x^3 )

Okay!, now, if the problem of authentication could be factored out of web development just the same!

www = site1(authentication, rating, blabla) + site2 (authentication, downloads) + ..

would be transfered to this.

www = OpenID( site1(rating, blabla) + site2(downloads) + …. )

Solid idea!, i CANNOT wait till all CMS’s come equipt with OpenID. This would make CMS integration SOOO EASY!, I wonder how OpenID is going to shape up in the future.

My guess would be, eventually, people optaining an OpenID somewhere local after presenting proper identification.
